Today I saw a friends status on Facebook. We started talking a little bit about LCHF and weight loss in may and today he has lost 50kg. So 50kg in 7 months. Pretty good! Grats!

His approach was pretty much like mine. Eating quite strict LCHF but at the same time not really been fanatic when eating at restaurants etc. So when he controls the food himself he is really low on the carbs but he is not 100% strict on sauces at restaurants. He has also had quite some sprits during the months and this has not really hindered his weight loss…

My dinner tonight was a lot (450g) of chicken liver, some onion and a larg lump of butter (125g).

    Wow, that’s amazing news about your friend!

    I have a question – do you get your iron levels checked at all, or donate blood to try to keep them in check? I’m curious about whether they would tend to rise with the amount of meat and chicken liver you eat. (Context: I eat a lot of meat and some liver but I’m a woman and a blood donor so I need more iron.)
