Long weekend

The last long weekend in a long time has started in Sweden. It is Midsummer night’s eve tomorrow and that is kind of a bank holiday. Now we have to way until Christmas until we can have a long weekend according to the calendar.

A couple of weeks ago I said I was going to keep of the cheese. If you have read the posts lately you can see that this has not really happened and today I ate a bit to much cheese again. Over 200g… 🙁

For dinner I tried a “new” sauce I have not tried making myself before; Chimichurri.

My version was:

  • 3 tablespoons fine olive oil
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • Oregano, basil and thyme
  • 1 tablespoon parsley
  • 1 teaspoon white wine vinegar
  • black pepper
  • tabasco

I am not really there yet but it was quite ok.

I also made some garlic butter and fried 5 big mushrooms.
