My parent both turns 70 this year and we are thinking about going to Rome to celebrate their birthdays. I have been to Rome a couple of days before and the food experience is a bit strange. I was there for a conference and for that there was really nice food (this was before my low carb days) but when the conference was over I stayed a couple of extra days to see all the places you have to see when in Rome. On the first free evening I hit downtown and ate a really nice mussels soup and spaghetti carbonara. Early next morning I took a walk down to the Vatican and S:t Peter’s Square. Once there I got a “funny feeling” in my stomach and I Im probably one of the few who have thrown up in a bin in the center of the square. I tried to get better but I got even worse so after a cab ride back to the hotel I stayed in my room the whole day… Next time I know where not to eat mussels soup… I can still see the mussels in the bin when I close my eyes and think about Rome… For my last day I got a lot better and got to see some of the surf but now I will make sure not to miss “anything”.
For brakfast today I had two eggs and 50g of butter and for dinner I had pork burgers with butter and spinach.
