Breaking the fast

Now I have finished my test to fast 7 days. I must say it was “easier” than expected. No real struggle at all. As I said before I will write a lot more about my experience during the weekend.

To brak the fast I had a lot of food today. I was home with my family and got both lunch and dinner. For lunch we had easter buffet (looks a lot like the Swedish christmas buffet…).

And for dinner we got paté, lamb and some veggies and finally a really small chocolate mousse.

The intake was a bit heavy on the proteins and high calories. But with zero calories the last week it was quite ok…

It will be interesting so see how my stomach reacts to all the food tonight and tomorrow…

Me and my brother also got some gaming done. Legendar Encounter: Alien and Zombiecide: Black plague.

Good for you! How much weight did you lose during this fast? I’ve read that after a fast this long you should eat very little for a few days, but it looked like you had a feast.

Yea, I had little to much food… 🙂

I lost some kgs. I will write more on the fasting and “results” tomorrow…

I’ve always eaten quite a bit after a fast (I’ve made 5.5, 5.0, 4.5 days — can’t quite get through a weekend). I know that people recommend starting slowly, but after not eating for so long, I find that difficult to do. What I find happens is that I get an upset system for about 8-12 hours (and this happens with 3, 3.5 day fasts, too). Then everything seems to be normal.

My problem is that all the water/liquids I’ve been drinking come out in that 8-12 hours. My wife has much less of a problem with this, though, so it would just be me.
