New job

After (almost) 15 years at my present employer I put in my letter of resignation yesterday. It was a tough decision to make but at the same time really easy… I have really loved my work and co-workers but the last two years have been a little of just “same old things” (and I do not mean my co-workers). I have lacked a bit of inspiration and opportunity to do new stuff. I have mentioned before that my company is being bought by General Electric so I did see some nice changes coming our way so I decided to stay. Then off course a really interesting job was announced and I just had to apply. It is in a totally new business for me. I have been working within i a company with really big projects and long deliveries (1-5 years). Now I am joining a company operating on much shorter financial cycles. I would imagine almost day to day…

The company I will start working for in February is

One of the largest (if not the largest) sport retail group in the Nordic countries. Over 150 stores and 2300+ employees. I will be responsible for the Labour Law on group level. In a way a totally new area of Labour Law and collective agreements but the basic are pretty similar so I know I will be fine.

The funny thing is that it is a total coincident I will be starting working for a company in the sport retail business at the same time I have started my new project running the NY Marathon…

Now I hope I will be able to “relax” a bit and focus more on the bloggs, books, apps and other LCHF-related things.

For dinner tonight I used som “leftovers” from yesterday so the dish I made was a bit messy… A nice entrecote with creamy mushrooms, broccoli and sauce bearnaise…

Congratulations on the new job – I hope you enjoy the change. I’ve been following your blog for some time now and I find it inspirational. I’m just about to start following the LCHF way of life and I’ll keep visiting your blog for food ideas and motivation.
Well done too on all the walking you’ve been doing as preparation for the marathon.
    Best wishes – kate
