Today I was trying to prepare the food for the camping. The plan was to use the Croc Pot to slow cook pork and then only slice it and heat it on the barbecue. The plan don’t really look like it’s gonna work…
I started with some veggies in the bottom of the pot, Cabbage, onion, garlic and habaneros. I added some bourbon and liquid smoke.
And then the 2 “lumps” of pork.
The timer was set on 10 hours and after some hours the pork looked like this.
And after yet a couple of hours
Only minutes left…
I took the pork to the cutting board…
…and tried to slice it.
Not really as planned. I will chill the meat in the fridge and try to slice it tomorrow.
I just had to try some and this is a late snack after cooking the pork.
My “real” dinner was… pork… cole slaw and seasoned butter.
I am trying out my new lens for my camera (almost all of my food pictures are taken with the iPhone). The one below is taken with the new lens on my Canon 7d. I tried to use the same “after work” in Lightroom with both pictures.
I think I will try to use the real camera more than the iPhone. I will work on the lighting a bit…
The intakes with the late snack was quite high on the proteins…
