Eating like the Flintstones

Some years ago (maybe 20?) the meat industry had to do something with all parts of the pork for the summer. In Sweden the different holidays (Christmas, Easter etc) we tend to have ham in different variations but during the summer this is not really that common so the industry had to figure out what to do with the ham… In the late 60’s there was something called “Russian steak” and then in the 80’s it was renamed “Flintstone Steak”. It is a thick slice of ham marinated and barbecued “whole” and then cut to slices.

Today I got myself a small slice and ate it all with some garlic butter.

The intake was a little high on proteins.
